Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using Jot (“the Service”) operated by Digital Trend AS(“us”, “we”, or “our”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

1. About the Service

Jot is an AI-powered health journal application. It allows users to log health data through voice, text, and photos, and uses artificial intelligence to extract facts, store them, and surface insights across years of data.

2. Medical Disclaimer

Jot is NOT a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

The AI-generated insights, health scores, and pattern analyses are for informational and personal tracking purposes only. They should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider with any questions about your health. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it based on information from Jot.

3. Account Registration

• You must be at least 17 years old to use the Service.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Jot offers free and premium subscription tiers. Premium features require a paid subscription.

• Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually).
• Payment is processed through Apple (App Store), Google (Play Store), or Stripe (web).
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time through your app store account settings or through the web at your account page.
• Refunds are handled according to the respective platform's refund policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
• Use the Service to store or transmit malicious code.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• Use automated means to access the Service without our permission.
• Use AI-generated insights to make medical decisions without consulting a healthcare provider.

6. Health Data

By using the Service, you consent to the processing of your health journal entries, lab results, supplement logs, and other health data by our AI systems. This processing is necessary to provide the core functionality of the Service.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Digital Trend AS and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of all health data and journal entries you submit to the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Digital Trend AS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, health outcomes, or any damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated insights.

9. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or at joinjot.app/account/delete. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Norway.
